It’s another Top-of-the Table clash at Interbay Stadium this Friday as Ballard FC takes on Oly Town FC for a third time this season. Ballard FC are the number two team in the most recent USL2 power rankings and sit atop the Northwest Division Standings. Oly Town are tied for second in the division and will look to gain sole control of second place and the final playoff spot. Here’s a look at the division standings.

Friday is Small Business Night and we are teaming up with the Ballard Alliance to spotlight businesses in the Ballard community. There will be businesses onsite that fans can check out when the gates open at 5:30 PM. Friday we will also be selling a new scarf in collaboration with the Ballard SeafoodFest. Also, The first 50 fans to enter the Ballard FC Foundation Beer Garden will get one free SeafoodFest koozie and one free drink token for the SeafoodFest.

Oly Town FC have ten points this season with a 3-2-1 record. Their only losses of the season have come to Ballard FC, so they will be looking for revenge this Friday. In their most recent match, Oly Town drew 2-2 with Lane United with goals scored by University of Washington’s Keegan Yorke and a rare goal from Seattle University goalkeeper Dante Perez. Yorke, Cooper Brunell, Gil de la Luz, and Desmond Wade Jr have been the key figures in attack for Oly Town this season. No visiting team has scored at Interbay this season in league play, but Oly Town should have a great chance with those four on the pitch. Although Ballard FC came away with two wins from last weekend’s road trip in Oregon, they did allow four goals across the two matches. Oly Town FC will try to continue that trend on Friday.
Ballard FC have scored 15 goals in three home matches this season, averaging a staggering five goals per match. Coach Jason Farrell and Ballard fans will be hoping that Friday is more of the same. Alongside Chicago City SC, Ballard FC are one of two clubs in USL2 to not drop a single point and have their eyes set on staying perfect.
Friday’s match will kick off at 7:00 PM with gates opening at 5:30. Fans will be able to check out the small businesses onsite and get their 2023 Ballard FC merchandise. They can also experience the Beer Garden featuring Reuben’s Brews, and enjoy food from Levantine Cuisine, Mainstay Provisions, Watson’s Counter, Coro Foods, and Pagliacci Pizza across the street. Tickets are sold out, however, you can get tickets to our remaining three home matches here! Like always, you can also watch the match live at the Reuben’s Brews Taproom or stream at goballardfc.com.
After Friday’s match, Ballard FC will be back on the road on Sunday, June 25th at 2:00 PM to take on United PDX at Oregon Episcopal School. Ballard FC will then return home to Pagliacci Pitch next Friday, June 30th to get their first look at CFC Atletico, who are currently tied for second in the division.
