This Sunday May 19th, Ballard FC will kick off our 2024 USL2 season with an away match against the Tacoma Stars. The game is set to take place at Bellarmine Preparatory School, with kickoff scheduled for 2:00 PM. The match will be streamed at the link HERE. The Tacoma Stars are a new team to the Northwest Division of USL2 this season, making this a particularly intriguing fixture. The 2023 USL2 Champions, Ballard FC, will face one of Washington’s emerging teams eager to establish their reputation in the league.
The Tacoma Stars are coached by former FC Olympia head coach, Liviu Bird, and feature a roster of players predominately from the Pacific Northwest. While the Tacoma Stars are a professional indoor team during the winter months, they are making their debut in the USL2 this season.
Two other NW Division matches are set for this Sunday, making it an important weekend to set the tone for the season. League veterans Lane United host newcomers Midlakes United while the other newcomers West Seattle Junction FC host Capital FC. Both matches are set for 2:00pm on Sunday.
