Richie Aman is one of 44 collegiate players who will participate in this year’s Major League Soccer (MLS) College Showcase from December 11-14th in San Diego, CA. This showcase provides an opportunity for MLS clubs to evaluate top collegiate prospects before the MLS SuperDraft for the 2025 season. The draft will take place on December 20th, 2024.
“At Ballard FC, we aim to provide an avenue to professional soccer for local talent in the area,” said Sam Zisette, club President and Co-Founder. “Richie joined us this past summer and was a key contributor to one of the best attacks in the league, and he’s continued to play well with the Huskies this fall. Richie is a great talent, and I think any MLS club would be lucky to have him.”
This year Aman played in 16 Ballard FC matches across all competitions, making 13 starts. In those 16 matches, Aman scored two goals and had three assists. Aman also lead the club in shots alongside Austin Brummett, and was third for key passes. After the summer, Aman played his junior season for the University of Washington men’s soccer season. Before the season, Aman was named a Big Ten Player to Watch, and would go on receive Third Team All-North Region honors.
Aman would not be the first Ballard FC player to be drafted with Stas Korzeniowski, Ballard FC’s leading scorer in the 2023 season, being drafted in last year’s SuperDraft by the Philadelphia Union. Keep tabs on Korzeniowski, and other Ballard FC pros with our alumni page.
Following the showcase, the eligible player list for the 2025 MLS SuperDraft will be released.
