The top two teams in the Northwest Division are going to head to head this Wednesday as Ballard FC hits the road to play against Snohomish United.

Snohomish’s home matches are at Stocker Fields, just under an hour from Interbay Stadium and so some fans many see it as a potential away day. If you are planning to travel, tickets can be purchased here.
Now, let’s meet Wednesday’s hosts.
Snohomish United

Snohomish United are one of three new clubs in the USL 2 Northwest Division, joining the Portland Bangers and Bigfoot FC. They’ve had a great start to life in USL 2 as they current sit tied with Ballard FC atop the division standings with 15 points. The club’s only loss came in their home opener as they were upset by Midlakes United and lost 3-1. This season, Snohomish have been winning a lot of close matches as they have yet to score more than two goals in a match, winning by just one goal in three of their matches so far.
The key to these victories has been the Snohomish defense, led by University of Washington trio Egor Akulov, Carter Gay, and Jadon Bowton, which is giving up less than a goal per match. Ballard FC on the other hand are averaging just under three goals per match, so it will be a strength v. strength battle on Wednesday night.
On the attacking side of the ball, Gay and his college teammate Connor Lofy are leading the club in scoring with two goals each. Ballard will look to contain the husky duo and keep a third straight clean sheet.
The Snohomish roster also includes some familiar faces, Eric Lagos joins Bowton to form the duo of former Ballard FC players on their squad while former Sounder Dylan Teves is also registered and made his debut last week.
If you cannot make it to the match, you can watch the live stream or watch live at the Reuben’s Brews Ballard Taproom.
