Ballard FC will look to get their second straight win on the road as they travel to Eugene where they will take on Lane United at 7pm on Friday, June 27th.

After a dominant 11-0 win over the Tacoma Stars midweek, Ballard FC will look to stay hot against a Lane United team that has held them scoreless in their last two encounters. Friday will be Ballard FC’s first trip across the southern border and into Oregon this season with every other match so far being in the evergreen state.
With five regular season matches left, Ballard FC sit atop the division standings with 21 points from nine matches and are also the lone undefeated team in the northwest division. Nationally, Ballard FC are ranked fifth in the most recent power rankings and are one of six remaining unbeaten clubs in USL 2. Additionally, Ballard FC have conceded the third fewest goals (three), and are in the top ten for scoring with 26 goals.
Now, let’s learn about Friday’s hosts.
Lane United

Lane United currently sit third in the division table with 16 points from nine matches, just one point behind Snohomish United for that second and final playoff spot. After losing their home opener to Snohomish, Lane is undefeated in their last eight matches with four wins and four draws. Their most recent result was a 1-1 draw on the road against the Portland Bangers as Ethan Doud scored an 88th minute equalizer.
The Lane attack is led by Bautista Rossi Molinas who is averaging a goal contribution per match with seven goals and one assist in eight matches played. At Interbay, Christian Engmann and Davis Mungomba were able to keep him and the entire Lane attacking unit quiet, but the Ballard offense was also shut out.
After losing 1-0 at Memorial Stadium in 2024 and drawing 0-0 last week at Interbay, Ballard FC has now gone 180 minutes without a goal against Lane and will be looking to change that as soon as possible on Friday. The catalyst to make that happen could be Austin Brummett, who is averaging over a goal contribution per appearance with five goals and three assists in seven matches played.
