Less than 48 hours after defeating Bigfoot, Ballard FC will attempt to do it again.

On Friday night, Ballard FC defeated bigfoot 3-1 in the home opener. The match had it all: great goals, red cards, beer, tequila, and more. Read the full recap here.
With the relatively close distance between the two teams, Ballard FC fans may see this as the potential away day. If you’re making the trip, you can get tickets to today’s match here!
Now, let’s meet the hosts.
Bigfoot FC

Bigfoot FC are one of three new clubs in the USL 2 Northwest Division. So far, they have been mid table with a 1-1-1 (W-L-T) record with the club’s only loss coming to Ballard FC. Their only win came in the season opener on the road against the Portland Bangers, so they will be looking for their first home win in club history this evening.
Like most rosters on this division, the Bigfoot one contains a mix of local college players from the University of Washington, Seattle University, and more. One husky, Nick O’Brien will look to keep his goalscoring form up. O’Brien scored Bigfoot’s lone goal on Friday night and also was a key player for Washington Athletic Club in their Open Cup run, scoring the opening goal against the Tacoma Defiance. Alongside O’Brien is Ben Norris, a midfielder with USL Championship experience. The two of them will look to cause problems for the Ballard defense.
On Friday, Ballard FC started the exact same lineup as in their season opening victory over FC Olympia. Given the short turnaround and the fact that both teams played 70 minutes with only ten men, it will be interesting to see how the two rosters are rotated for today’s rematch.

After today’s match, Ballard FC will be on the road again against Midlakes United on Thursday, May 29th at 7PM. Then after two straight road matches, the defending division champions will return home and host newcomers Portland Bangers on Friday, June 6th at 7PM.
