Richie Aman is a second year player for Ballard FC. Before college, Aman played his club soccer for Seacoast United before joining the University of Washington in 2022. In his freshman season, Aman was named to the Top Drawer Soccer (TDS) Preseason Freshman Best XI and then made both the TDS Midseason Top 100 Freshman (ranked at 71) and TDS Postseason Top 100 Freshman (ranked at 98) lists. That season Aman appeared in 19 matches, made two starts, scored one goal, and assisted twice for a University of Washington team that won the PAC-12 Championship and made the NCAA Tournament. Then the following year, Aman started 10 matches, scoring once and assisting four times to earn himself PAC-12 Honorable Mention recognition. After winning a division title with Ballard FC, he returned to Washington for his junior season. In 2024 Aman was named a Big Ten Player to Watch in preseason and then played in all 21 matches for the huskies, scoring twice and assisting three times for a team that made the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Aman’s efforts earned him Third Team All-Region honors and an invite to the 2024 MLS College Showcase. After a great summer with Ballard FC, Aman returned to Montlake for his senior season. In 2025, Aman was named a Big Ten Player to Watch again in the preseason. Additionally, he made the TDS Preseason Top 100 player rankings, was named a TDS Pro Prospect to Watch, and a United Soccer Coaches Midfielder to Watch. Aman lived up to the billing, winning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week in September, making the Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List, and moving up to sixth overall in the TDS Midseason Top 100 rankings. With the regular season now over, Aman was named First Team All-Big Ten and named the Big Ten Midfielder of the Year. This is Aman’s final year of collegiate eligibility.
With Ballard FC: Aman was a huge part of the Ballard FC attack in 2024, leading the team in shots and was third for most key passes. In a 2-1 win against Midlakes United, Aman scored a goal and was named Player of the Match. Then in 2025, he led the team in assists with 11, and was a constant threat for the club as they made it all the way to the USL League Two National Final.
