Ballard FC’s Northwest Division Title defense begins in the state capitol as they take on FC Olympia in the USL League Two (USL 2) season opener on Friday, May 16th at 7pm.

The moment that Ballard FC fans have been eagerly waiting for is finally here, the 2025 USL 2 season starts tomorrow night. With the season opener against in-state rivals, some supporters may be looking to make the trip to the first away day of the season. Tickets to Friday’s match can be purchased here.

FC Olympia

FC Olympia joined USL 2 alongside Ballard FC in 2022. Since then, the two teams have faced off nine times, Ballard FC has seven wins, FC Olympia has one win, and the teams have drawn once. This year FC Olympia is coached by Seyti Sidibay and features a roster of primarily local Pacific Northwest talent.
FC Olympia made the USL 2 playoffs in 2023 and will look to replicate that success this season. With lots of division matches this weekend it will be important for both teams to try and get some early season points and set the tone.
